University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2018 (Senior): Appeared in and started 45 games...posted five runs, 11 hits, four RBI and five sacrifice hits.

2017: (Junior) She played in 21 games and had 14 starts. She had 43 put outs and eight assists. She was named to the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a 3.46 GPA. 

Before UIW: Nevarez played softball at El Paso Community College for head coach Kathryn Gutierrez. She was named Honorable Mention All-Conference in 2016 and was also Co-Defensive Player of the Year. She was a three-year member of the Dean's List and made the President's List once.

High School: Nevarez played softball and volleyball at Atrisco Heritage Academy for coaches Roland Soto and Shantel Lucero. She was named Female Athlete of the Year and won the Bronze Academic Award.

Personal: Nevarez is the daughter of Mariane and Cesar and is majoring in criminal justice. She has one brother, Cesar. She was born on June 25, 1996.
