SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word has set its 2018 football schedule, announced head coach Eric Morris on Thursday.
 
UIW's 2018 schedule includes four opponents who participated in postseason play during the 2017 season. FBS opponent North Texas played in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, while Nicholls, Sam Houston State and Central Arkansas each earned a berth in the FCS playoffs.
 
The Cardinals are slated to play five home games at Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium, with matchups against Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 15), Southeastern Louisiana (Oct. 6), McNeese (Oct. 20), Sam Houston (Nov. 3) and North Alabama (Nov. 15).
