LAMAR, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word softball team travels to Lamar for a three-game Southland Conference series starting on Friday. Game one will be Friday at 5 p.m. (CT), while game two will conclude the doubleheader at 7 p.m. Saturday's series finale is slated for 3 p.m.
 
FIRST PITCH
UIW is 12-28 overall and 5-16 in SLC play after dropping an 11-2, 5-inning game to Stephen F. Austin on April 21. The Cardinals' game against UTSA, originally scheduled for Wednesday, was rescheduled for May 1 due to inclement weather.
 
The Lamar is 26-24 overall after sweeping a doubleheader against the University of Louisiana Monroe. After defeating the Warhawks 11-7 in game one, Lamar won game two, 3-2. The Lamar Cardinals are 9-12 in the SLC after losing three to McNeese on April 20-21.
