2018 (Freshman): A two-way player for the Cardinals, Hernandez tied the pitching staff lead of 24 games played and started in 20...tied with Brett Coleman with a staff-best 4.57 ERA…went 5-14 with 11 complete games, one shutout, and 46 strikeouts…tied for team lead of 11 complete games…at the plate, she posted three runs, four hits, two doubles, and four RBI.
 
High School: A letterwinner in softball at Cedar Ridge High School, Hernandez was a three-time District Pitcher of the Year and also won District Newcomer of the Year honors as a freshman and Team Defensive Player of the Year as a junior.  As a freshman, she hit .372 with 17 RBI, while striking out 143 batters in the circle. As a sophomore, she hit .346 with 29 RBI and striking out 127 opponents in the circle, where she later earned Team Player of the Year accolades. Hernandez was named Academic All-District and played club softball for the Texas Stix Softball Organization.

Personal: The daughter of Christina and Frank Hernandez, she is majoring in rehab science at UIW. She has two brothers, Devan and Joshua, and one sister, Amber. Her cousin, Ashlee Garza, is a member of the Houston Wildcats of the Women's Professional Football League (WPFL). She was born on Jan. 27, 1999, in The Woodlands, Texas.
