SAN ANTONIO – Due to "Alamo Heights Night" on Apr. 20, the game times for this weekend's Southland Conference softball series between the University of the Incarnate Word and Stephen F. Austin have been changed.
Originally scheduled for 4 and 6 p.m., Friday's doubleheader has been moved up to noon and 2 p.m. to coordinate with the Fiesta-themed event on UIW's campus. Saturday is still scheduled for noon, weather permitting.

SFA is on a three-game winning streak after sweeping a road SLC series at HBU, 3-2 in 10 innings, 2-1, and 6-1 last weekend. Bryana Novegil is 3rd in the SLC with a .412 batting average, going 49-for-119 with 29 runs, four doubles, three triples, and 16 RBIs. Amber Landry, Taylor Fraccastoro, and Margarita Corona each have a team-best seven home runs, with Landry and Fraccastoro registering 33 RBIs apiece. In the circle, Clarissa Hernandez leads the team in ERA (1.85), but Makayla Sikes is the leader of the staff, as she is 15-6 with a 2.11 ERA, nine complete games, four total shutouts (three individual and one combined), two saves, and 97 strikeouts. Under second-year head coach, Nicole Dickson, the Ladyjacks have vastly improved this season from a year ago where they went 17-33 overall and 9-15 in the conference.

UIW is on a four-game losing streak following a 5-2 defeat by No. 23 Texas State Wednesday night.
Monica Flores hit an inside-the-park home run to tie the game at 2-2, but the Bobcats scored three times in the top of the sixth.
Thanks to her 2-for-3 effort Wednesday, Flores is second on the team in batting average (.254), only trailing
Hope Sobolewski (.280).
Delaney Guzman has five of the Cardinals' 18 home runs. In the circle,
Breanna Hernandez has a staff-best 4.18 ERA, as she is 4-10 with nine complete games, one shutout, and 39 strikeouts.
Sarah Leal is 8-10 with a 4.57 ERA, 10 complete games, and 59 strikeouts.
