San Antonio, Texas – UIW looks for its fifth-straight win when the Cardinals host the McNeese Cowboys on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. The game is a "Black Out" as fans are encouraged to wear black to the game. Cardinal rally wear will be handed out for fans.

McNeese leads the all-time series, 2-1, but UIW won its lone game against the Cowboys at the McDermott Convocation Center, 86-84, on Jan. 26, 2015.

Summary: McNeese has lost three in a row and six of the last seven following a 78-74 defeat at Nicholls on Saturday, despite 24 points from Jamaya Burr.
On the season, the Cowboys are led in scoring by Burr, who is 24th in the SLC with 11.6 points per game. He also leads the team in assists per game (3.9, 6th in SLC) and steals per game (1.4, T-18th). LaBarrius Hill is tops on the team with 1.1 blocked shots per game, T-9th in the conference, while Stephen Ugochukwu is 5th in the SLC with 7.5 rebounds per game. Summary: UIW earned its season-high fourth-straight win on Saturday following a come-from-behind victory over Central Arkansas, 81-80, in Conway. The Cardinals trailed by as many as 17 points before the comeback, the first win that many points down for UIW since a triple overtime victory over UMKC, 110-104, on Dec. 20, 2014.
Simi Socks led the UIW offense for the second-straight game, scoring 20 points with a career-high six rebounds. It was the Cardinals' first road win this season. The Cardinals have not won five-straight games in the Southland era. The last conference five-game winning streak for UIW came Jan. 3-26, 2012, while a member of the Lone Star Conference.
Socks leads the Cardinals with 15.5 points per game, good for T-7th in the SLC, while Johnson follows in 9th place with 14.8 points per game. On the glass, Johnson is 7th in the conference with 7.0 rebounds per contest. Socks' 84.5 free throw percentage is 2nd best in the SLC, while Johnson averages 2.5 three-point field goals per game, good for 3rd most in the conference.
Jalin Hart is 2nd in the SLC in both assists per game (4.8) and assist/turnover ratio (+1.9).
Devin Wyatt averages 2.4 blocked shots per game, which ranks him 2nd in the SLC and T-24th nationally. As a team, the Cardinals are 9th in the SLC with a -2.8 scoring margin (77.5-80.4) and 11th with a -4.9 rebounding margin (34.0-38.9).
