Las Vegas, Nev. – The UIW men's basketball team opens a season-long five-game road swing Wednesday night at UNLV. First tip is scheduled for a 7 p.m. local start, 9 p.m. central, and will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network.

Summary: UNLV lost its second-straight game, as the Runnin' Rebels fell to No. 5 Duke, 94-45, on Saturday in the first-ever game played at the T-Mobile Center. The T-Mobile Center will be home for the Las Vegas expansion NHL team. The Runnin' Rebels' leading scorer, Jalen Poyser, scored a team-best 16 points against the Blue Devils.
On the season, Poyser is fourth in the conference with 17.3 points per game. He leads the team with 34 assists and his 11 steals only trail Uche Ofoegbu's 12. Tyrell Green leads the team in shooting percentage (46.4), three-point percentage (44.4), and free-throw percentage (86.7). On the glass, Dwayne Morgan is tops with 7.3 rebounds per game, and is fourth in the MWC with 1.38 blocks per game. As a team, UNLV is shooting 43 percent from the floor compared to 44 percent for the opposition.

Summary: UIW got 23 points from
Shawn Johnson and three other Cardinals scored in double figures as UIW went 3-0 in its three-game home stand with an 83-68 win over Texas A&M International Saturday night. Johnson finished one rebound shy of his fourth double-double of the season, grabbing nine.
Simi Socks was second on the team with 15 points with four rebounds, while
Jorden Kite and
Sam Burmeister each chipped in with 11. The Cardinals as a team shot a season-high 61.9 percent from the floor (26-for-42) and was the best shooting percentage since UIW shot 62.5 at Houston Baptist on Feb. 22, 2016.
On the season, S. Johnson is second in the Southland Conference with both 19.3 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per contest. He is third with a 54.4 shooting percentage. Due to foul trouble Saturday against the Dustdevils,
Devin Wyatt dropped to second in the conference - and 11th nationally - with 3.13 blocked shots per game.
Jalin Hart is second and fourth in the SLC with 2.5 steals and 4.6 assists per game, respectively. As a team, the Cardinals are shooting 46 percent from the floor compared to 43 percent for the opposition.
