SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team is back home after a pair of tough road games as they host Dallas Christian College on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at the McDermott Center.
The Cardinals (2-2) lost each of their last two games at nationally-ranked Purdue and Oklahoma after starting the season with two wins at home. UIW is averaging 70.8 points per game, while allowing 76.5 per game. They are shooting 36 percent from the field and 30 percent from beyond the arc. Sophomore guard Jontrelle Walker (Aurora, IL/West Aurora HS) leads the team averaging 14.0 points per contest while shooting 95 percent from the charity stripe. Senior forward
Kyle Hittle (New Braunfels/New Braunfels HS) is averaging 13.0 points per game while shooting 42 percent from the field and a team-best 41 percent from the three-point arc. Senior point guard
Mitchell Badillo (Houston/Cy Falls HS) has run the offense for the Cardinals scoring 8.0 points per game while leading the team in assists and steals with 11 of each.
Dallas Christian College is a member of the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) and is in the Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA).
