Incarnate Word's Chris Johnson has signed a contract to play professional basketball in Germany during the upcoming 2012-2013 season.
After playing three years at UIW Johnson now will headquarter in Wedel, Germany, nearby Hamburg, and play for the SC Rist team in the Men's ProB league. He reports to the team in mid-August.
As a senior the San Antonio Brackenridge product led the Cardinals in both scoring and rebounding. He was voted first team All-Lone Star Conference after finishing top 10 in five different statistical categories. Twenty times during the season he posted double-doubles in points and rebounds.
He completed his time at UIW as the 15th all-time scorer in Cardinals history.
At the end of 2011-2012 a he was voted UIW Male Athlete of the Year.
