The rain was not friendly to the Incarnate Word women's tennis team. After a couple of postponements, the Hilltoppers eventually got the best of the Cardinals 6-3 Sunday afternoon.

UIW fell into a hole early dropping all three of their doubles matches meaning they would have to pick up five out of six of the singles match to pick up the victory. Unfortunately, the Cardinals only picked up three out of the six. Incarnate Word got victories from Ivana Katavic (2-6, 6-1, 6-3), Malisa Vatanadilok (4-6, 6-2, 6-1) and Andi Botha (6-4, 7-5). That is three straight victories for Vatanadilok after dropping her first match of the season. Andi Botha is also 3-1 on the season in singles competition.

Next up for the Cardinals is a couple of weekend road matches. They will travel up to Dallas Baptist on Friday and to Laredo Junior College on Sunday. Their next home match will be March 7^th as the host Rollins College.
