Four different Cardinals scored goals on Sunday as the Incarnate Word men's soccer team defeated cross-town rival St. Mary's University 4-0 on Sunday.
Alexander Deitz, Max Gunderson, Julien Brown-Latham and Callum Riley all netted goals against the Rattlers as the No. 8-ranked Cardinals improved their record to 6-1 and have been unbeaten since losing the season opener, 2-1, in a neutral site contest against Colorado School of Mines.
Gunderson's goal was the second of his career for Incarnate Word, as was Brown-Latham's. Deitz header in the first half was his first-ever playing for UIW.
Riley's goal gives him a team-leading six on the season. Riley scored three goals against Texas A&M International on Friday night.
Chris Fidler earned his fourth shutout victory on the year, making two saves.
The Cardinals are going to host Eastern New Mexico University on Friday night in the second game of a UIW-ENMU Lone Star Conference Soccer Doubleheader (the first game will be between the two women's teams). Game time is scheduled for 8:30 p.m.
