SAN ANTONIO - The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team earned two Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) awards for the 2025 season.
 
Alejandro De La Torre was selected to the All-OVC second team for his excellent play as the Cardinal goalkeeper. He played all 90 minutes in every game this season (18) while sacrificing his body against opposing team strikes, saving the second most goals (81) and shutouts (6) in the OVC. 
 
De La Torre won OVC goalkeeper of the week in September for his winning performances against top-ranked Southern Methodist University (SMU) and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV).
 
Cardinal midfielder Noe Robles was selected to the 2025 All-Newcomer Team for his great performance throughout the season. Logging over 1200 minutes on the pitch, Robles' season concluded with three goals and one assist. He ranked in the top-10 for the most shot attempts (34) and the second most strikes on goal (17).
