Alex Brown had a pair of top-10 finishes to pace the Incarnate Word men's track and field team at the 44 Farms Team Invitational at Texas A&M University on Friday.
Brown placed fifth in the hammer throw with a top distance of 58.53 meters. He then followed that performance up with a top throw of 50.64 meters in discus, earning a ninth-place result.
Jake Grullon showed his versatility as a dual-entrant in the 400-meter hurdles and the long jump. He finished the 400-meter hurdles in 53.53 seconds to place 12th and had a top jump of 6.82 meters to place 15th.
The Cardinals had a solid showing in the 1,500 meter run with
Abram Maldonado and
Manny Mood finishing back-to-back. Maldonado took 12th with a time of 4:09.63 and Mood was a spot behind with a time of 4:10.88.
Incarnate Word continues the 44 Farms Team Invitational in College Station, TX tomorrow, April 11th.
