SAN ANTONIO – Finley Evans of the University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team was named the Southland Conference (SLC) offensive player of the week, the league office announced Monday.  

The senior from Frisco, Texas, has been unstoppable to open league play. Evans notched double-digit kills in both of the Cardinals' first two conference victories, powering UIW to its best start in Southland play. She posted a match-high 12 kills in a sweep over NSU before erupting for a career-best 24 kills in a five-set thriller against ETAMU. 

Evans capped her dominant weekend with a .364 hitting percentage, averaging 4.5 kills and 4.8 points per set across eight frames of action.
