SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word swim and dive team earned several post season accolades for their outstanding performance in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Conference Championship Meet.
Jada Ashford was named the MPSF Women's Swimmer of the Year after earning 60 individual points for the Cardinals winning the 100 breast (1:03.12), 100 free (50.25), and 50 free (22.87). She added two silver medals in the 200 and 400 medley to become the first MPSF Women Swimmer's of the Year in UIW team history. On the men's side
Roldan Salas won the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at MPSF championships winning 2025 Men's Diver of the Year. He was coached by second year UIW dive coach James Zagaria who was named the MSPF Men's Dive Coach of the Year.
28 total Cardinals (nine women and 19 men) earned a spot on the All-MPSF team. To qualify the student-athletes had to place top three in an event at the MPSF Championship meet.
