SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word swim and dive team swept the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Swimmer of the Week awards after competing in the Art Adamson Invite last week.
Panos Vlachogiannakos won his fourth MPSF weekly award and his second of the 2024-25 season. He led the Cardinals with three record breaking swims. He went 4:20.76 in the 500 free, 14:54.34 in the 1650 free, and in the 1000 split with a time of 8:59.16. His 1650 swim enters the week ranked No. 19 in the nation but was as high as No. 5 when he completed his race.
Jada Ashford won her third career MPSF weekly award and the second of this season. At the Art Adamson Invite she swam the 50 free (23.27), 100 free (50.34), and 100 breast (1:04.08). Making it back for a finals swim in each individual event.
