SAN ANTOINO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team controls its own destiny in the final two games of the season. The Cardinals will first face off against East Texas A&M at 2:15 p.m. CT on Saturday. In the final game of the regular season UIW will take on Northwestern State at 6:30 p.m. on Monday night.

UIW

• The Cardinals only need to win one of their final two games of the year to secure a spot in the conference tournament.
• This would be the first time that UIW MBB has made the tournament since the 2021-22 season.
• The Cardinals have the third best field goal percentage in the SLC, 47 percent. They are led by Dylan Hayman who is knocking down 51 percent of his shots.

 
SCOUTING THE LIONS

• The Lions trailed New Orleans by 10 with less than three minutes in the game and won by a final score of 73-71.
• This was the first road win of the season for East Texas A&M.
• The Lions have not had a season with no road wins since the 1992-93 season.
   

SCOUTING THE DEMONS

• Addison Patterson is just out of the top 10 in the SLC for average points, sitting at 11^th with 13.1.
• Patterson also has seventh most assists in the Southland with 87.
• Willie Wole is grabbing an average 7.3 rebounds per game which is good for third best in the Southland.
