SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team announced its schedule for the 2025-2026 season. This will be the Cardinals third season under Shane Heirman and the first with more than one Power-Four opponents since 2021.
 
UIW will face several tough rough tests, starting the season off at Colorado State on November 3 and less than two weeks later travel to Bloomington to take on Indiana in the historic Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The Cardinals will continue non-conference play in December with Texas sized matchup with Texas Christian University of the 15^th.
 
The 2025-26 schedule will also feature some can't miss games in San Antonio. Southland Conference play will get kicked off with two championship favorites as the Cardinals host the McNeese Cowboys on December 1. At the end of the month UIW will finish conference pay hosting Northern Arizona which was just a one-point game last season.
 
The Cardinals will face a full slate of Southland teams and wrap the season up with two home games against Lamar and Stephen F. Austin.
