SAN ANTONIO – Head Coach Ryan Shotzberger announced the 2024 University of the Incarnate Word Baseball Schedule on Thursday morning. 

"I'm excited for our 2024 schedule that features 27 home games, including five regional teams and one super regional team," said Shotzberger. "I'm also looking forward to a great Southland Conference schedule along with a mix of different conferences to include the SEC, Big 12, Big East, American, Sun Belt, WAC, Ohio Valley, and SWAC. Our non-conference schedule will have us prepared to play in a competitive Southland Conference." 

The Cardinals open the season at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B against Villanova for a three-game series Feb. 16-18. 

UIW then visits Texas A&M on Feb. 20 before coming back home to face the University of Illinois Chicago in a midweek game and Alcorn State for a three-game series Feb. 23-25. 

The Cardinals host Tarleton on Feb. 27 before opening March traveling to Monroe, LA to take on the University of Louisiana at Monroe.  

A five-game homestead at Sullivan Field features UTRGV and Prairie View A&M in midweek games on March 5 and 6 and Texas Southern in a three-game series March 8-10 before heading to Austin to face Texas on March 12.  

UIW will head to UTRGV for a midweek game on March 19 with Southland Conference play beginning later in the week starting with Texas A&M - Corpus Christi at Sullivan Field on March 22-24.  

Three more SLC series against Northwestern State, Nicholls, and Southeastern Louisiana round out regular season at home before the SLC Tournament begins on May 25 in Hammond, LA.
