SAN ANTONIO — The University of the Incarnate Word men's golf team had two student-athletes, Joe Buenfeld and Angel Guerra, earn All-Conference honors this week.
 
Buenfeld was named to the All-Conference second team after an amazing season averaging the sixth best score in the SLC (73.04) and going 1.17 against par. He finished up the season shooting +6 and tied for nineteenth at the Southland Conference Championships.
 
Guerra was named the 2023 Southland Newcomer of the Year. He was the top finisher for the Cards at the conference championship, shooting 1-under-par and tying for fourth place. On the season Guerra averaged the eleventh best score in the conference (73.54) scoring 1.67 versus par.
