SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team heads to Natchitoches, Louisiana, to face Northwestern State University (NSU) for a three-game Southland Conference (SLC) series beginning on Friday, April 22, at Lady Demon Diamond. The doubleheader begins at 4 p.m. CT followed by a 6 p.m. nightcap. The series concludes on Saturday, April 22, at noon.

- UIW is coming off a split non-conference matchup between UTSA and Texas State University. The Cardinals defeated the Roadrunners, 5-2, but fell to the Bobcats, 12-0.

- The Lady Demons host the Cardinals with a 7-5 SLC record and an 8-4 home mark.
- They are coming off a dropped series to McNeese State University (2-1).
- Laney Roos leads the team with a .383 batting average while Keely Dubois has a team-best 37 RBIs on the season.
