SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word is set to host Texas Southern University (TSU) on Tuesday, March 22, at H-E-B Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT.

- Avalon Sanchez hit her second grand slam of the season against Texas Tech University. Sanchez has the most RBIs in the Southland Conference with 27 on the year.
- Maddie Boldt leads the SLC in home runs hit this season with nine.
- Teanna Lucio hit her first triple of the season, placing her at third in the SLC.
- Ryleigh Mata registered her 36th hit of the season to rank second in the SLC, only two hits behind first place
UIW
- UIW competed in the Red Raider Classic last weekend where it scored 25 runs.
- The Cardinals are 3-9 at H-E-B Field.
- This will be the first of a four-game homestand.
TSU
- The Tigers are on a six-game winning streak but are 3-7 on the road.
- Daryn Haslam and Crimson Davis lead TSU with 15 hits apiece.
- Jazmine Gendorf has a team-best 27 strikeouts with a 5-5 record on the season.
