Box Score SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team fell to the University of Nebraska Omaha, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at H-E-B Field.
 
Ashley Trapp held Omaha scoreless through the first three innings, but UNO added two runs to the board in the top of the fourth. Annie Gunther then entered the circle for the Cardinals. The Mavericks, however, were able to add another run to extend their lead. In the top of the seventh inning, Omaha added its fourth and final run to the board. UIW was able to get runners on first and second in the bottom of the seventh but could not bring in a run. Omaha held on to a 4-0 victory on the first day of the 2022 Cardinal Invitational.
