SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word Men's Basketball team returns to the McDermott Center on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. for a game against Dallas Christian College (DCC). Later in the week on Saturday, Dec. 3, the Cardinals will travel down to Louisiana to take on Grambling State for the second time this season.

Last week UIW won three straight games before falling in a close one to UTSA bringing their record to an even 4-4. The Cardinals' defense has tightened as they are now second in the Southland rankings, only allowing 67.1 points per game and the team leads the conference with the lowest opponent 3-point percentage. Jonathan Cisse who led the team with 19 points per game over this four-game stretch also leads the conference in free throw percentage this season, shooting nearly 90 percent.
Dallas Christian College has a 1-8 record so far this season and is coming off of a loss to Texas Wesleyan University. Joseph Allen has been a standout for DCC leading the team in points with 17.1 per game as well as in blocks with 25 through nine games.
Grambling State is 4-3 on the season and won two out of the three games at the UTSA MTE Tournament as UIW handed the Tigers their only loss. Carte'Are Gordon is still leading the team with 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.
