Fencing Places Four on Western Fencing Conference Teams

SAN ANTONIO- The University of the Incarnate Word men's and women's fencing team placed four student-athletes on the Western Fencing Conference teams. The teams were selected by coaches of the Western Region based on results obtained at the Western Conference Individual Championships and the NCAA National Championships.
 
Men's Epee Team: Led by Head Coach John Moreau
  • Brandon Benavides- finished 11th at the NCAA National Championships in Men's Epee and was named Honorable Mention All-American.
  • TJ Petrosewicz, Jr.  - finished 16th at the NCAA National Championships in Men's Epee.
Men's Foil Team: 
  • Jake Thayer- finished 16th at the NCAA National Championships in Men's Foil.
Women's Foil Team: 
  • Sasha Rebchunovska - started at the NCAA National Championships, but had to withdraw due to injury and finished 18th in Women's Foil.
