ABILENE, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team heads down to Abilene, Texas for a three-game series against Southland Conference foe, Abilene Christian. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. (CT) on Friday.

BATTER UP
- As a team, the Cardinals are hitting .244 while limiting opponents to a .278 batting average.
- Three UIW starters are hitting above .275; Jazmine Torres (.364), Savannah Behabetz (.278), and Maddie Boldt (.277).
- Torres has 24 hits, three doubles and 16 RBIs.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Annie Gunther leads the Cardinals with a 2.55 ERA and has thrown ten complete games. Overall, she has a 7-8 record with 63 strikeouts.
- Ashley Trapp has also contributed significant innings for the Cardinals. Trapp has a 5-6 record with six complete games and also has 67 strikeouts.
SCOUTING ABILENE
- The Wildcats are 9-31 overall with a 5-16 record in the Southland Conference this season.
- Their last outing was against Nicholls, where they won the three-game series, 2-1.
- ACU has one hitting above .300, Donelle Johnson who has 23 hits and a .329 batting average. She has four RBIs, four doubles and two home runs.
