SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team is back with another weekend of Southland Conference play for their final home stand against McNeese in a three-game series on Friday and Saturday. First pitch of game one is set for Friday at 5 p.m. (CT) at H-E-B Field.

.250 CLUB
The Cardinals have five student-athletes hitting over .250 through the back half of the season. Sophomore Jazmine Torres leads UIW with a .383 batting average and three doubles with 16 RBIs. Sophomore Savannah Behabetz follows behind with a .275 batting average and six RBIs. Maddie Boldt is hitting with a .269 batting average with 14 RBIs.Tori Alvarez-Lopez has a .258 batting average and Kendall McGary has a .250 batting average.
HISTORY VS MCNEESE
- UIW holds a 1-11 record against McNeese in the all-time series.
- The teams last faced off on March 9, 2019, when the Cowgirls swept the series against the Cardinals.
SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS
- McNeese is currently 23-21overall after getting a win in over UTSA on Wednesday.
- The Cowgirls are currently fourth in the Southland Conference standings.
- Toni Perrin leads McNeese with a .315 batting average, including 28 hits, 10 RBIs, and one home run.
UP NEXT
UIW will hit the road again to face Abilene Christian in a three-game series on April 30-May 1. First pitch is set for 5:00 p.m. Friday.
