SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team heads to Prairie View A&M on Tuesday, April 20, before returning home to continue conference play this weekend. First pitch is slated for 2 p.m. (CT).

BATTER UP
- As a team, the Cardinals are hitting .240 while limiting opponents to a .276 batting average.
- Four UIW starters are hitting above .250; Jazmine Torres (.400), Maddie Boldt (.273), Kendall McGary (.258) and Savannah Behabetz (.258).
- Boldt leads the team with 24 hits, seven doubles, and four home runs.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Annie Gunther leads the Cardinals with a 2.57 ERA and has thrown nine complete games. Overall, she has a 6-7 record with 58 strikeouts.
- Ashley Trapp has also contributed significant innings for the Cardinals. Trapp has a 4-5 record with four complete games. Trapp has 51 strikeouts.
SCOUTING PRAIRIE VIEW A&M
- The Panthers are 11-10 overall, and 9-3 in their conference.
- Their last outing was against Houston Baptist where they won, 7-4.
- PVAMU has three student-athletes hitting above .350. Natalie Mclennan leads the team with a .500 average.
UP NEXT
UIW will return home to compete against Southland Conference foe, McNeese, in their final home series of the season. First pitch will be at 5:00 p.m. CT on Friday night.
