BEAUMONT – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team heads down to Beaumont, Texas for a three-game series against Southland Conference foe, Lamar. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. (CT) on Saturday.

BATTER UP
- As a team, the Cardinals are hitting .227 while limiting opponents to a .278 batting average.
- One UIW starter is hitting above .350; Jazmine Torres (.364).
- Torres has 16 hits, two doubles and nine RBIs.

- Annie Gunther leads the Cardinals with a 2.85 ERA and has thrown seven complete games. Overall, she has a 4-7 record with 48 strikeouts.
- Ashley Trapp has also contributed significant innings for the Cardinals. Trapp has a 3-5 record with four complete games and also has 45 strikeouts.
SCOUTING LAMAR
- The Cardinals are 5-34 overall with a 1-14 record in the Southland Conference this season.
- Their last outing was against Northwestern State, where they lost the three-game series, 2-1.
- LU has one hitting above .300, Hannah Carpenter who has 25 hits and a .352 batting average. She has ten RBIs, three doubles and two home runs.
