SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team is back at home for another weekend of Southland Conference play against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a three-game series on Thursday and Friday. First pitch of game one is set for Thursday at 5 p.m. (CT) at H-E-B Field.

.200 CLUB
The Cardinals have four student-athletes hitting over .200 through the first part of the season. Sophomore Maddie Boldt leads UIW with a .231 batting average and four doubles with five RBIs. Sophomore Savannah Behabetz also has a .231 batting average and three doubles. Kendall McGary has a .208 batting average and Tori Alvarez-Lopez has a .200 batting average.

- UIW holds a 6-9 record against A&M-Corpus Christi in the all-time series.
- The teams last faced off on May 5, 2019, when the Cardinal's swept the doubleheader against the Islanders.
SCOUTING THE ISLANDERS
- A&M-Corpus Christi is currently 14-16 overall after falling in a doubleheader sweep at Texas A&M on Tuesday.
- The Islanders are currently fifth in the Southland Conference standings.
- Ashleigh Sgambelluri leads A&M-Corpus Christi with a .337 batting average, including 29 hits, 17 RBIs, and two home runs.
