THIBODAUX, La.– The University of the Incarnate Word softball team heads to Thibodaux, La. for a three-game series against Southland Conference foe, Nicholls. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. (CT).

BATTER UP
- As a team, the Cardinals are hitting .184 while limiting opponents to a .279 batting average.
- Two UIW starters are hitting above .200; Tori Alvarez-Lopez (.229), Maddie Boldt (.227),
- Alvarez-Lopez leads the team with 11 hits and two doubles.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Annie Gunther leads the Cardinals with a 2.87 ERA and has thrown four complete games. Overall, she has a 2-5 record with 30 strikeouts.
- Ashley Trapp is coming off a career-high performance on Tuesday against Tarleton State. The junior had nine strikeouts and picked up her first win of the season in a complete-game effort.
SCOUTING NICHOLLS
- The Colonels are 6-11 overall with a 0-6 record in the Southland Conference this season.
- Their last outing was against Stephen F Austin where they lost, 9-4.
- Nicholls has two student-athletes hitting above .300 led by Ashlyn Reavis, who has 19 hits and a .404 batting average. She has seven RBIs, four doubles, and one triple.
