SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team is back at home for another weekend of Southland Conference play against Northwestern State in a three-game series on Friday and Saturday. First pitch of game one is set for Friday at 5 p.m. (CT) at H-E-B Field.
THE GAMES
Friday, March 19, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Saturday, March 20, at noon.
.200 CLUB
The Cardinals have two hitting over .200 through the first 13 games of the season. Sophomore
Maddie Boldt leads UIW with a .273 batting average and also four doubles with three RBIs. Senior
Tori Alvarez-Lopez follows behind Boldt with a .229 batting average and one double.
HISTORY VS NORTHWESTERN STATE
- UIW holds a 5-10 record against NSU in the all-time series.
- The teams last faced off on April 6-7, 2018, when the Lady Demon's took the series against the Cardinals two games to one.
SCOUTING THE LADY DEMONS
- NSU is currently 9-7 overall after three game series sweep at Nicholls last weekend.
- NSU is tied for first in the Southland Conference standings.
- Kaitlyn St. Clair leads the Lady Demons with a .355 batting average, including 11 hits, four RBIs, and two homeruns.
