SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team hosts its inaugural Alumni Game on Saturday at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. Batting practice starts at 10:30 a.m. (CT) and first pitch is set for 12 p.m. Admission is free for all fans.
 
The Alumni Game will feature alumni of the program from past years facing the current team. The game will be approximately seven innings. This will be fans' first opportunity to see the 2020 team in a true game setting.
 
"I'm excited to see the 2020 team compete in a game setting," Coach Shotzberger said. "This will be a great preview for our opening series against Bradley. I look forward to seeing the toughness, enthusiasm, process and trust that we talk about every day in our program."
 
"I look forward to having all the alumni back and continuing to grow the UIW baseball program," Shotzberger added. "The alumni are a critical piece to what we do."
