FRISCO, Texas -- The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team earned the fourth seed for the Southland Conference Tournament, announced the league office Saturday. The Cardinals are slated to face fifth-seeded McNeese on Wednesday at 7 p.m. (CT) at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas.  
 
Every game of the 2019 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament will be available exclusively on ESPN+.
 
This is the first time the Cardinals have earned a spot in the postseason since joining Division I. UIW finished the regular season with a 35-20 overall mark and an 18-12 record in conference action.
 
UIW faced McNeese on March 22-24 in Lake Charles, Louisiana, with the Cardinals sweeping the three-game series. In the tournament this week, the winner of UIW's game four is scheduled to face the winner of No. 1 Sam Houston and No. 8 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday at 7 p.m.
