Box Score SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word softball team lost to UTSA on Wednesday by the score of 13-2 in five innings on H-E-B Field. UTSA scored nine runs in the second inning, to get the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Roadrunners scored three runs in the top of the first. The Cardinals responded with a an RBI double from Sobolewski. The second inning was unfriendly to UIW as UTSA hung nine runs in the top half, putting the game virtually out of reach. Both teams were held scoreless through the third and fourth innings, and both scored a run in the fifth. The Cardinals plated their run on an RBI single from Lucio, but the deficit was too big to overcome as UIW fell to UTSA, 13-2.
UP NEXT
The Cardinals look to get back in the win column when they host Southeastern Louisiana this weekend at H-E-B Field. First pitch for Friday's doubleheader is set for 5 p.m. (CT).
