SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team won five singles matches to secure a 5-2 victory in its dual with St. Mary's on Friday afternoon.
In doubles, the No.1 pairing of
Gabriel Evans and
Sebastian Mortier topped Bo and Jeremiah, but the Cardinals dropped the doubles point.
In singles, UIW took control and secured the match with five victories. On court two, Mortier topped Bo (6-1, 6-1), while court three saw Dennis Boiseau best Jose 6-2, 6-1.
Paco Bendana, playing in the No. 4 spot, bested Alex Glee 6-3, 6-3.
Courts five and six both went to three sets, with
Oliver Valentinsson beating Brown 6-2, 6-7, 6-0 and Dyer defeating Bonnay 3-6, 7-5, 10-4, respectively.
