GREELEY, Col. – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team came up short on the road against Northern Colorado on Friday, losing 83-61. The Bears relied on their outside shooting to secure the win, knocking down 14 three-pointers on the night.
"Northern Colorado shot the ball very well and that put a lot of pressure on our defense," Cardinals coach Carson Cunningham said. "They deserve credit for that. Our guys showed toughness by making a couple of nice second-half runs, but they ultimately responded. This was a tough two-game road trip. We need to learn from it and keep battling."
