QTR 1 (13-11) | UIW got off to a slow start with Schreiner getting on the board first, five minutes into the game, off of a shot made by Yasmine Aronjujo and followed by a Schreiner free throw. It was a three-pointer by
Macy Ray that kicked the Cardinals into gear. Another three made shortly after by
Destiny Jenkins, in her first career appearance, and the Cardinals would hold the lead for the remainder of the game.
QTR 2 (43-19) | The Cardinals came out into the second quarter hungry for points.
Lunden Henry's steal that was dribbled down the court then passed off to Speer for a three was what kickstarted the Cardinal scoring frenzy. UIW would go on to score 30 points in the third quarter to take a 24-point lead into the break.
QTR 3 (56-25) | UIW maintained the lead in the third quarter but struggled to keep the ball, turning it over 10 times. Still, the team held on with the help of a three from Robinson and Speer, as well as going 6-8 from the free throw line. The team also held the Mountaineers allowing only six points. Ray added the finishing touch on the quarter with a three, her second of the night.
QTR 4 (70-35) | The Mountaineers came out strong in the fourth quarter, scoring 10 points including six times in the paint and drawing one foul, but it was not enough to catch up. The Cardinals scored 14 points in the quarter, with the most coming from
Angelica Wiggins, who drew two fouls and scored from the paint to extend the lead and and help UIW to the 70-35 win.
