Biography
Moberly Area Community College (2016-2018): Wiggins was a walk-on at MACC that quickly blossomed into one of the teams top offensive weapons. Her sophomore season, she was named first team All-Region and Missouri Community College Athletic Conference as well as a Women’s Basketball Coaches Association honorable mention All-American. She averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in the 2017-18 season. As a starter in all 32 of her games played, she led MACC in both assists (118) and three point field goals made (57). She is described by her former coach, Chad Killinger as "one of the best pure athletes that I have ever had the privilege to coach."
High School: Wiggins attended Vaughan Secondary School, in Ontario, for grades 9-11 before transferring to Hopkins High School, in Minnesota, for her senior season.
Personal: Wiggins is the daughter of Marita and Mitchell Wiggins. She is the fifth of six kids: Mitchell, Nick, Stephanie, Andrew and Taya. Her family has a strong history of athletic prowess. Both her parents were college athletes at Florida State. Her mother went on to win the Silver medal in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays for Team Canada at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. Her father was drafted into the NBA, spending time on the Chicago Bulls, Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers. She is the third of her siblings to play Division 1 basketball. Her older brother Nick played for Wichita State, while her other older brother Andrew, played at Kansas and was selected No.1 overall in the 2014 NBA draft. He currently plays professionally for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Angelica is majoring in Business Administration at UIW and plans to, one day, open her own business. She chose to come to UIW because she "loved the campus and [her] teammates."
