MAGNOLIA, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word women's golf team had its highest finish at a tournament so far this season, coming in tied for fourth at the 2019 Huntsville Toyota Bearkat Invitational on Tuesday at the High Meadow Ranch Golf Club.
THE LEADERS
Playing on the part 72 course,
Iliana Stowers moved up from 17th (day one) to finish in 10th place on the final day of competition. She had two rounds of 76 on Monday but tallied a 74 (+2) on Tuesday for a final score of 226.
Lauren Mancha finished 14th after a third-round score of 79. She had round one and two scores of 77 and 72, respectively, for a score of 228 over three rounds.
As a team, the Cardinals finished the final round with a 308. Overall, they scored a 921 (310-303-308, +57).
UP NEXT
The Cardinals head to Las Cruces, New Mexico, for the NM State Aggie Invitational on Oct. 7-9.
