SAN ANTONIO -- The University of the Incarnate Word women's golf team opens its 2018-19 season Monday and Tuesday in the Hobble Creek Fall Classic at Hobble Creek Golf Course in Springville, Utah. The tournament is hosted by Utah Valley University.
 
THE OPENING TEE
The 54-hole Hobble Creek Golf Classic is a stroke-play tournament that features 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Teams will tee off between 7:40 and 9:50 a.m. (MT) on Monday off of holes one and 10. A shotgun start begins Tuesday's play at 8 a.m.
 
FOLLOW ALONG
Because of limitations of cell range due to mountainous terrain, there will be no live scoring. Results will be posted on uiwcardinals.com.

THE COURSE
"Hobble Creek is a mountain course that is nestled in the canyon and has fairways that have been cut out of the trees. The front nine is easier than the back because the back nine fairways are crossed by streams. The secret to the course is not length—just keep the ball in play. Although the course is built in the mountains, there are not many extreme elevation changes." (GolfAdvisor.com)
