The Incarnate Word women's golf team saved their best round for last, shooting a collective one-under-par on the final day to finish in third place at the Southland Conference Women's Golf Championship.

The Cardinals' one-under round was the lowest of the day, further rebounding from an opening round 12-over-par and securing a top three finish. After shooting even-par over the final two days, they finished 7 shots back of second place Houston Christian and 8 shots back of 2026 champions Texas Rio Grande Valley while clearing fourth-place Texas A&M Corpus Christi by 19 strokes.

Three Incarnate Word golfers placed in the top 8 with
Arwen Settipalli being the Cardinals' top finisher at second place. She tied for the lowest individual round of the day, shooting a three-under-par, 69, and finished in second place at even-par for the championship.

Isabella Saenz placed sixth individually after posting a score of one-over-par for the tournament. She was even in her final round, matching three birdies and three bogeys in the front nine, then closing with 9 straight pars on the back nine.
Jordan Sandoval was the other Cardinal in the top eight, finishing eighth at three-over-par. She was one of five players to score under par in the final round, birdieing holes 15 and 16 to card a two-under, 70, on the day.

Maria Jose Ramirez placed 22nd after a five-over, 77, brought her to +11 for the championship.
Victoria Bauer finished one stroke behind Jose Ramirez and 24th on the individual leaderboard with a four-over, 76.
