Women's Golf Holds Firm at Third After Day 2 of Southland Conference Championship

The Incarnate Word women's golf team strengthened their grip on third place following day two of the 2026 Southland Conference Women's Golf Championship. The Cardinals posted a team score of +1 and now sit at +13 for the championship.

Isabella Saenz posted the lowest round of any golfer on the day, shooting a four-under, 68 to move to +1 for the tournament. She opened her round with five birdies in her first seven holes and went out with a 33 on the front nine. Saenz then had 8 pars on the back nine while birdieing hole 17 to finish off her round of 68. She moved 16 spots on the leaderboard, climbing up to 5th heading into the final day.

Arwen Settipalli also took advantage of moving day, climbing six spots to 9th in the championship after an even-par, 72. She carded four birdies and four bogeys on the round and remains at +3 for the tournament.

Jordan Sandoval carded a two-over-par, 74 and is sitting at +5 after 36 holes. The Cardinals' top scorer from day one, Maria Jose Ramirez, recorded a five-over-par, 77, and is +6 for the championship. Lastly, Victoria Bauer is +8 for the tournament after a three-over-par, 75, on day two.

Incarnate Word will look to go low tomorrow as they close out the Southland Conference Women's Golf Championship. The Cardinals are in the first five groups, with the first group going out at 1 p.m.
