SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball returns home to the McDermott Center to face Stephen F. Austin on Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m., or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the women's game, which starts at 1 p.m.

Summary: SFA ran its winning streak to three with a convincing 87-68 at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Wednesday night behind 32 points from Shannon Bogues. It was the second-straight game of 30-plus points for the junior transfer guard, who dropped 35 against Northwestern State on Feb. 10.
Bogues, no relation to NBA great, Muggsy Bogues, is T-5th in the Southland Conference with 16.0 points per game, while Kevon Harris' 15.9 ppg ranks him close behind, in 8th. TJ Holyfield is 9th in rebounding (6.4) and T-10th in blocks (1.1). Aaron Augustin ranks T-7th with 1.7 steals per game. As a team, the Lumberjacks lead the conference in scoring margin (+12.8), shooting percentage (49.6), 3-point field goal percentage (37.3), and are 2nd in rebounding margin (+3.2).

Summary: Despite a game in which senior guard
Shawn Johnson finished one point shy of his career high (28) and one three-pointer shy of his personal mark (6, both occurring 11/26/16 vs. Rice), UIW was unable to get over the hump in an 85-62 loss at Lamar Wednesday night.
Charles Brown III ranks 12th in the SLC with 14.1 points per game, but his 15.8 points per game in conference play places him 9th. Johnson ranks T-5th in blocks (1.5), T-12th in steals (1.5), and T-10th in rebounding (6.3). As a team, the Cardinals lead the conference in free throw percentage (72.9), are 2nd in blocking (5.13), 12th in scoring margin (-7.4) and last in rebounding margin (-4.0).
