MANSFIELD, TEXAS – Junior Gracie Aday rallied by shooting a 73 for the last 18 holes, and freshman Iliana Stowers led her team with a seventh-place tie in the individual standings, as the University of the Incarnate Word's women's golf team finished fourth in the UT Arlington Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Walnut Creek Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Aday shot rounds of 78-75-73 to finish tied for 10^th place in the individual standings. Her 73 on Tuesday propelled her four places ahead of Monday's finish. Aday shot even par on 36 of the tournament's 54 holes.
• Stowers, on the strength of her 71 in Monday's second round, entered Tuesday's competition in second place, one stroke behind the leaders. She shot a 77 over the final 18 holes to tie for seventh. Stowers recorded seven birdies over the 54 holes.
• Junior Lauren Mancha shot her best round of the tournament Tuesday, a 75.
• UIW finished fourth as a team with rounds of 314-302-305.
• Sam Houston State's Jenna Phillips, competing as an individual, shot the tournament's best round, a four-under-par 67 on Tuesday, to become the tournament's individual champion. She finished two strokes ahead of runner-up Siti Shaari of South Alabama.

NEXT UP
UIW has concluded the autumn portion of its women's golf schedule. The Cardinals will resume play Feb. 25-26 in the Islander Classic Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
