HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stowers shot rounds of 75 and 79 during the 36-hole, weather-shortened tournament. Monday's play was cancelled because of rain and wind.
- Lauren Mancha finished second among UIW golfers, shooting rounds of 77 and 84.
- Charlotte Davis, Gracie Aday, Stirling Phillips, and Makenna Davidson also played for the Cardinals.
- Marshall University teammates Shelby Brauckmuller and Kerri Parks, and TCU's Sabrina Iqbal, finished in a three-way tie for first place – each with two-round totals of 143.
- TCU won the team title, seven strokes ahead of Marshall.
COACH HOWARTH SAID
"Iliana played a good first round and followed it up with a decent score in some tough conditions. She had a great attitude all week and I'm looking forward to her growth over the next few years."
