The Cardinals posted a 294 on the par-71, 6767-yard TPC Four Seasons course on Thursday. Seniors
Austin Wylie (Boerne/Boerne HS) and
Myles Dumont (Eagle Lake/Rice Consolidated HS) each posted the team's first sub-par rounds of the tournament at 1-under par 70. Wylie carded four birdies and finished at 6-over par 219 to finish in 12
th place. Dumont also had four birdies on the day and he finished in a tie for 19
th place at 8-over par for the tournament.
Long Beach State won the team title with a 15-over par 867 and they posted a 294 in the final round. Stephen F. Austin was second with 878 strokes and they were followed by Central Arkansas (884), Wyoming (887), Oral Roberts (890), UT Arlington (891), Lamar (892), UIW (894), Abilene Christian (896), Missouri State (898), Houston Baptist (907), Rutgers (909), UT Rio Grande Valley (912), Northern Iowa (913), Bradley (915), North Dakota State (928) and Fairleigh Dickinson (952).
Cody Burrows of Oral Roberts came back to win the individual title with a final round 70 that put him at 1-over par for the tournament. Angelo Leyvani (SFA), Kevin Lee (LBSU) and Drake Bushong (Bradley) all tied for second place one stroke back.
The Cardinals are back in action on April 11-12 at the Ogio UC-San Diego Intercollegiate.
