Los Angeles, Calif. – The UIW men's basketball team looks for their first road win of the season when the Cardinals face Loyola Marymount on Saturday. First tip is scheduled for 4 p.m. local time, 6 p.m. central, and will be streamed live on the West Coast Conference Network.
OPENING TIP
This will be the second-straight game against a first-time opponent for UIW. It will be a homecoming of sorts for junior forward
Devin Wyatt, who played his freshman season at LMU.

Summary: Despite a 4-3 record, LMU could easily be 6-1, as two of the Lions' losses have come in a three-point loss to perennial power UConn, and a one-point setback to Boise State. The Lions are currently on a two-game winning streak following a 69-68 win at CSU Northridge last Saturday on a game-winning putback with nine seconds left by Stefan Jovanovic.
On the season, Brandon Brown paces the LMU offense with 13.7 points per game, followed by Buay Tuach with 11.6. On the glass, Shamar Johnson is tops with 5.4 rebounds per game. Both Jovanovic and Mattias Markusson have a team-best five blocked shots. As a team, LMU is shooting 48 percent from the floor while holding the opposition to just 42 percent.

Summary: One game following its best shooting day of the season, UIW shot its second-lowest in the Cardinals' 92-64 setback at UNLV Wednesday evening. The Cardinals shot just 34.8 percent (23-for-66).
Jalin Hart led the team with 18 points while also registering six rebounds, five assists, one block, and one assist.
Simi Socks finished with 17 points, four rebounds, a season-best two blocks, and a pair of steals.
Tyler Singleton chipped in with 13 points while pulling down a career-best seven rebounds.
On the season,
Shawn Johnson is third in the Southland Conference with 17.6 points per game and second with 8.7 rebounds per contest. Hart is second in the SLC, and T-24th nationally, with 2.3 steals per game. He is fourth in the SLC with 4.7 assists per game and 18th with 13.3 points per contest. Socks is 20th in the conference with a 12.8 point average.
Devin Wyatt is second in the SLC, and 16th nationally, with 2.9 blocked shots per game. As a team, UIW is shooting 45 percent from the floor and holding opponents to 43 percent.
