SAN ANTONIO, TX – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team will go for their fifth consecutive victory on Tuesday evening when they host UT-Rio Grande Valley starting at 7 p.m. in the McDermott Center.
THE OPENING SET
The Cardinals are currently on their longest winning streak of the season and they are now 5-5 in Southland Conference play, and sit seventh in the conference standings. UIW has won their last two matches at the McDermott Center and the team has a 4-4 overall record at home.
UT-Rio Grande Valley enters Tuesday's matchup with a 15-9 record although the Vaqueros are currently on a two match-losing streak.
Sarea Alexander has been a key factor in the UIW attack during the four match-winning streak. In the last two matches, Alexander is averaging 2.5 kills/ set with a .586 attacking percentage.
