Taryn Strahl won both of her matches, but that was all the Cardinals were able to do. Strahl teamed with
Sarah Savedra to defeat Alena Shichkova and Nicole Karaklis, 7-5 at #2 doubles. Strahl came back to win her singles match in three sets over Charlene Tiwari after dropping the first set 2-6, 6-2, 6-4.
The Roadrunners were able to clinch the match quickly. They won a hard fought point in doubles, but then won the first four singles matches in straight sets. UIW's
Maria Batchinsky nearly won at #6 singles against Lina Hallgren, but lost 6-2, 3-6, 10-6.
The Cardinals are back in action on February 3 at Texas.
